The Lion, the Witch and the Fallen Jedi Knight

The unremittingly busy Liam Neeson ["Star Wars Episode I", "Batman Begins"] is roaring into action as Aslan the Lion in "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe", says The Hollywood Reporter.

A number of actors had been rumoured to be voicing the role of the CG-animated lion who serves as King of Narnia, including Russell Crowe and Brian Cox. Seems the near typecast mentor Neeson had the biggest roar.

"The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" hits theaters on December 9th.
