The One-Armed man strikes again! The Fugitive is back!

Warner Bros is bringing back “The Fugitive”.

A new instalment of the popular franchise is in the works, according to Deadline, but they’re not sure whether it’s a complete reboot- with a new actor playing the Richard Kimble role – or a sequel to the Harrison Ford/Tommy Lee Jones movies. While it’s possible, what with those other Ford films getting belated sequels, that this is a sequel to the ’90s film, my money’s on it being a complete rehaul.

Christina Hodson (“The Eden Project”, “Shut In”) is writing the project, with Arnold and Anne Kopelson returning as producers.

The 1993 film, based on the classic ’60s TV series starring David Jansen, won Jones an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Jones reprised the role of US Marshal Sam Gerard in the spin-off film “US Marshals”.

Worldwide production president Greg Silverman is shepherding the project, and the hope is to be in production by early 2016.
