The Titans Strike Back

“Empire” scribe writing “Clash” remake

George Lucas’s go-to guy Lawrence Kasdan – he penned “Empire Strikes Back”, “Return of the Jedi” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” – has been tapped to rework an old Harry Hamlin movie.

Kasdan’s penning Thunder Road’s big-screen remake of “Clash of the Titans” – one of Hamlin’s first films; quite frankly, I’ve no idea why I even mentioned it – about a shaggy-haired man with a sword and a wild bitch with snakes up top. Warner Bros will reap the profits.

Travis Beachman (“Killing on Carnival Row”) had written a draft.

The story revolves around Zeus’ son, Perseus, and his journey to save Princess Andromeda during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa. The original marked the final film on which Ray Harryhausen did special effects.
