The famed Wachowskis, who are currently filming “Cloud Atlas” with the likes of Halle Berry and Tom Hanks and co-director Tom Tykwer, will be focusing on another project after “Atlas” wraps. According to Deadline, the Wachowskis will helm the action sci-fi “Jupiter Ascending”. The film will be their “first major science fiction action franchise play since “The Matrix.”
“Jupiter Ascending” is an original creation by the duo, and it’s on track to start production by the spring. Warner Bros. is now discussing which A-list star to lead the cast while keeping the script and logline under tight wraps.
Side-note, “Cloud-Atlas” is a sci-fi film sooo not much of a going back into the sci-fi realm but if it makes them more than a billion dollars like “The Matrix” films did, more power to them.
