Seems that Farrelly Bros’ incarnation didn’t kill the franchise at all. Far from it, in fact.
Per Deadline, in addition to another Farrelly-helmed Moe, Larry & Curly adventure, C3 Entertainment are prepping a “Three Stooges” prequel.
Nothing to do with the recent flick, the new movie will be titled “The Three Little Stooges” – with casting now underway to find three 12-year-olds to play the mischief makers.
Harris Goldberg (“Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo”) will write and direct the movie, described as movie of a family movie than the previous “Stooges”.
Scheduled to film in the Summer, “Little Stooges” is hoped to be the start of a franchise. ARC Entertainment will distribute.
