Tom Cruise Passes The Salt?

New espionage thriller in the works

Tom Cruise sure knows how to keep busy….. He’s about to have “Lions for Lambs” released, he’s currently working with Bryan Singer on “Valkyrie”, and now according to “Variety”, he could be getting attached to “Edwin A. Salt”, which Columbia are currently courting “Hotel Rwanda” director Terry George for.

“Salt” is the story of a CIA operative who is accused of being a Russian sleeper agent by a defector, and just like any good espionage film of the last 20 years, he must stay alive long enough to prove his innocence and protect his family – I’m sure if Cruise can’t do it, Matt Damon will be able to step straight from “Bourne” into this one….
