Tom Holland (“Spider-Man: Homecoming”) is in early talks to join Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult and Katherine Waterston in the cast of period drama “The Current War”.
Set in the 1800s, “The Current War” centres on the feud between Thomas Edison (Cumberbatch) and George Westinghouse (Shannon) over the supply of electricity.
Should the deal come off, Holland would play Edison’s assistant, reports THR.
Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”) is directing the film from Michael Mitnick’s 2011 Black List script.
