Tomb Raider reboot nabs writer & director

The “Tomb Raider” reboot finally looks to be moving forward with Roar Uthaug set to direct and Geneva Robertson-Dworet in talks to pen the scrip.

Previous drafts of the script have been done by Evan Daugherty, Marti Noxon and Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.

Warner Bros and MGM will produce and distribute.

The film, based on the video games about the adventures of archaeologist Lara Croft, has been in development for over five years.

Angelina Jolie previously portrayed the character in the 2001 film “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”.
