Tommy Lee Jones is set to team up with Brad Pitt in space adventure movie “Ad Astra”, which in Latin translates to “to the stars”.
According to Deadline, Jones is in final talks to climb aboard the sci-fi epic, which was written and to be directed by James Gray. Production for the out of this world movie will begin in September, and while details about the production are scarce, there’s a few things circling: Pitt is said to play a slightly autistic space engineer named Roy McBride. The story will see him set off on a mission to Neptune to find his missing father, who 21 years earlier went off to find extra terrestrial life.
Jones would play the father, and no surprises that the film would be set in deep space. Here’s hoping they don’t actually go to Neptune or we may not see the flick for another 15 years.
