Some news and visual peeks that have emerged as a result of the little festival currently taking place in Toronto.

Holland, Michigan

Naomi Watts will star in the thriller by Errol Morris. The “Fargo”-esque thriller centers “on a woman who suspects her husband is cheating. She begins an affair of her own, eventually discovering that her husband is a serial killer.” (THR)

Manglehorn

Holly Hunter will join Al Pacino in the David Gordon Green thriller. The movie, also starring Chris Messina and Harmony Korine, is “about an eccentric man coming to terms with a past crime that cost him the love of his life.” (THR)

Kane

Jason Momoa (“Conan the Barbarian”) will star in and direct the underground fighting movie about “an alcoholic former boxer (Momoa) who turns to Detroit’s illegal fighting circuit to earn money to pay for his ex-wife’s medical treatment. Once in the lucrative underground fighting scene, he must face old demons and defeat a merciless rival from his past if he is to save his family and reclaim his lost destiny.” (THR)

My Old Lady

Kristin Scott Thomas (“Only God Forgives”) has joined Maggie Smith and Kevin Kline in the Israel Horovitz movie about ”a down-and-out New Yorker who travels to Paris to settle affairs dealing with an inherited apartment. He discovers a refined older woman (Smith) living there with her daughter, to be played by Scott Thomas.” (THR)

Enemy of Man

The “Macbeth” adaptation has snared “Harry Potter” alum Rupert Grint. The Vincent Regan film will also feature the likes of Charles Dance, Jason Flemyng, James D’Arcy, Neil Maskell and Joe Gilgun (THR)

Shivers

Rie Rasmussen is remaking David Cronenberg’s classic. “Shivers, made nearly 40 years ago and known in some countries as They Came From Within, tells the story of a genetically engineered strain of parasites that turns people into violent, sex addicts. When the parasites are released into a luxury apartment complex, the resident doctor tries to find a cure before the nymphomaniac inhabitants spread the virus.The new Shivers — set to start shooting in February — will be updated to mirror today’s realities and is set in a post-HIV world, where people interact through screens rather than skin.” (THR)
