The UK trailer for period romantic drama “Carol” has been released.
Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara star in the film adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s 1952 novella “The Price of Salt”. Todd Haynes directs.
The story centres on a romance between two very different women in 1950s New York, a 20-year-old girl working at a department store named Therese (Mara) and a rich wife named Carol (Blanchett) trapped in a bad marriage trying to break free.
Sarah Paulson, Kyle Chandler, Jake Lacy, Cory Michael Smith, John Magaro and Carrie Brownstein co-star.
“Carol” will get a limited US release on November 20.
