Trailer for John Carpenter’s The Ward

Ah, a match made in heaven….. John Carpenter and Amber Heard. My electronic synthesizer hardens at the thought.

The horror vet, director of such classics as “Halloween” and “The Thing”, teams with hottie actress Amber Heard (“All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”, “Drive Angry 3D”) for about ”a young woman trapped in a mental institution with a malevolent ghost. As danger creeps closer, she comes to realize that this ghost might be darker than she could have imagined”.

It’s Carpenter’s first film in 9 years so hopefully it delivers (a little more than “Ghosts of Mars”).
