Finally! A New Redford movie!
“A River Runs Through It” is absolutely divine. “Quiz Show” is one of my favourite movies of all time. “The Horse Whisperer” gave us both goosebumps and, well, Scarlett Johansson. And who doesn’t love “Ordinary People”? In particular the remarkable performances Redford got out of his cast!
Finally, The Sundance Kid has a new directing effort out, “The Conspirator”, which tells of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. James McAvoy, Alexis Bledel, Robin Wright Penn and Justin Long star.
The film looks great – only one thing missing : Redford himself. We just don’t see enough of the guy anymore. Sure, we can always pull out “Butch Cassidy” or “Legal Eagles” or “The Sting” or “Barefoot in the Park”, but not quite the same thing.. as it? Hopefully, Redford will grace us with his presence again. Soon.
