Focus Features looks to snag the U.S rights to “The Trap”, the new film from “Spring Breakers” helmer Harmony Korine.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the revenge tale will star Idris Elba, who replaces Jamie Foxx. He plays a gangster rap artist in Miami, and Benicio Del Toro plays his best friend who took the fall for a robbery years earlier.
A big name support cast including Al Pacino, Robert Pattinson, and James Franco (from Korine’s “Spring Breakers”) are also in final talks.
