True Blood‘s Ryan Kwanten is a passenger on Takashi Shimizu’s Flight 7500

“True Blood” alum Ryan Kwanten and “Butterfly Effect” babe Amy Smart will headline the Takashi Shimizu-directed thriller “Flight 7500”.

Bloody Disgusting says the film, set up at CBS films, is :based on a pitch from Shimizu and “is set on a transpacific airliner from Los Angeles to Tokyo where the passengers encounter what seems to be a supernatural force.””

Both actors are far from tyro genre-flick participants – Aside from “The Butterfly Effect”, Smart has appeared in Kiefer Sutherland horror flick “Mirrors” and lesser-known efforts like “Dead Awake”, while Kwanten, aside from facing werewolves and vampires each week on “True Blood”, starred in “Red Hill” and “Dead Silence”.
