Twilight stars Sarafyan, Foy, Spencer, Facinelli, Welch get gigs

Quite a few of the “Twilight” clique are finding employment outside of Forkes. Here’s a couple of cast members who have secured film gigs over the past couple of days.

Angela Sarafyan
The “Breaking Dawn” actress will star opposite Marion Cotillard (“The Dark Knight Rises”) in James Gray’s “Lowlife” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Jeremy Renner. The New York-lensed movie will feature Sarafyan as Cotillard’s sister. (Deadline)

Mackenzie Foy
The “Breaking Dawn Part 2” actress has been cast alongside Joey King (“Crazy Stupid Love”), Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor in director James Wan’s Untitled Warren Files Project. The supernatural thriller “revolves around the Perron family that encounters spiritsin their Rhode Island farmhouse in the 1970s. Famed paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated the case with cooperation from the Perrons.” (Deadline)

Peter Facinelli
The “Twilight” series star is in talks to play a role in “The Absinthe Drinkers” for director John Charles Jopson. The film tells of a female painter battling prejudice in 19th Century France. John Hurt, Tim Roth, Keith Carradine and Jurgen Prochnow are also rumoured for roles.

Michael Welch
Welch is onboard the Shayne Leighton penned “Of Light and Darkness”, a supernatural thriller about a young girl trapped in a fantasy world where she encounters all sorts of magical, mythical creatures. “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” alum Camden Toy and newcomer Johnny Pacar are also onboard.

Chaske Spencer
Spencer will join Alex Maraz in a Canadian movie about an 18 year old high school student living in rural Montana who is preparing to enlist in the US Marines like his older brother, Charlie. When his brother doesn’t make it back it throws his world into upheaval. Written and directed by Alex Portugal.
