Two if by Sea

Not content with fellow Aussie Russell Crowe currently owing the seas with “Master and commander”, Mel Gibson’s also out to play sea captain too, says a scooper for Dark Horizons. "A certain studio with a pointy symbol is supposedly on the cusp of announcing their intentions to produce a film inspired by the book "The Sea of Glory" [by Ken Wales and David Poling] about the famed Four Chaplins (a father, a reverend, a pastor and a rabbi) who went down as the ship sank on February 3rd, 1943 as many survivors looked on as the water enveloped the Chaplin’s bodies. In order to recreate these events the studio needs a ship that resembles the Dorchester where the events of the Four Chaplins took place so many years ago. The plan is to raise the S.S. Catalina which sank in 1998 and restore it and use it as the Dorchester. Ed Zwick is allegedly looking to helm the feature for Paramount and none other than Mel Gibson is also believed to be interested in participating in some manner as well. The rumblings are Gibson may step aboard as an executive producer". Ahoy maties, seems a new trend is on the rise…
