Two leaving Grey’s Anatomy?

Real-life best buds, and former on-screen lovers Katherine Heigl and T.R Knight look set to exit TVs “Grey’s Anatomy” – but the network’s not ready to confirm it.

Us Weekly chatted to co-star James Pickens Jr., who told the magazine’s website that both Heigl and Knight are splitting at the end of the season.

Michael Ausiello checked in with an source who essentially confirmed Pickens’ claim. “Right now, the whole thing is in the hands of their agents and ABC’s lawyers,” explains an insider. “Something will probably be worked out soon, but it’s a safe bet that Katherine and T.R. won’t be returning as series regulars next season.”

Heigl is said to be ready to move on so she can pursue her movie career (hope that doesn’t backfire, darl!), whilst Knight’s miffed at the lack of screen time he’s had in recent episodes.

Hopefully Pickens doesn’t find himself out of a job too for letting the cat out of the bag.
