CBS has cancelled “The Defenders” (James Belushi, Jerry O’Connell), “Shit my Dad Says” (William Shatner) and “Mad Love” (Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke).
Staying put are “Hawaii Five-O”, “Blue Bloods”, “Mike & Molly”,
“Dad” was terrible; just intrusive, canned humor. Not surprised it’s gone. Still, a little sad for Shatner who… well, what’s he going to do next? Back to Priceline?
“The Defenders” was a guilty pleasure – much better than I ever expected it to be. I will say that It wasn’t a show I felt I needed to watch it every week though.
Thirdly, “Mad Love” – wasn’t bad either; Biggs and Chalke had good chemistry. I just don’t think the live-studio audience style sitcom works anymore… we need something smarter, less ‘applaud now’.
