Bright Eyes… Watership Down remake in the works!

Animated classic “Watership Down” will be remade into an epic mini-series that’s being produced in partnership with the BBC and Netflix.

The new version, which will feature the voices of John Boyega, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, and Ben Kingsley, will air on Netflix in the states and BBC One in the UK. Intended airdate is said to be late next year.

The original dystopian novel turned film told of a group of rabbits fleeing their home after it’s destroyed by humans.

According to Variety, McAvoy (”X-Men”) will play Hazel, Hoult (”Mad Max: Fury Road”) will star as Fiver, Kingsley (“Hugo”) voices General Woundwort, and Boyega (”Star Wars: The Force Awakens”) will play Bigwig.

Screen siren Gemma Arterton will lend her voice to Clover, with Olivia Colman playing Strawberry.
