We Are Your Friends slated for August 28 release

“We Are Your Friends” has been slated for US release on August 28.

Zac Efron, Emily Ratajkowski and Wes Bentley star in the drama from director Max Joseph.

The film is set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife and explores the tormented friendship between an aspiring 23-year-old DJ (Efron) and a damaged older DJ (Bentley) who takes him under his wing.

Joseph and Meaghan Oppenheimer co-wrote the script based on Richard Silverman’s stroy.

Producers are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin.

“We Are Your Friends” will open against Fox’s “Hitman: Agent 47″ and TWC-Dimension’s “Regression.”
