West Side Story actress joins Kraven the Hunter

Actress Ariana DeBose, an Oscar nominee for “West Side Story”, will play Calypso in Sony’s “Kraven the Hunter” pic.

Starring Aaron Taylor Johnson as the big game hunter,the J.C Chandor directed superhero pic is set to open Jan 13, 2023.

Calypso, for the unversed, is a character originating in the “Spider-Man” series of comics that uses voodoo and magic and like Kraven is an adversary of the web-slinger.

Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk penned the screenplay.
