Jamie Foxx, next in “Django Unchained”, may be the American President in the new White House-set action thriller “White House Down”.
The movie, written by “Amazing Spider-Man” scribe James Vandebilt, stars Channing Tatum as a secret service agent who takes on terrorists who invade the President’s pad.
According to Variety, Foxx hasn’t yet struck a deal with director Roland Emmerich (“2012”) or Sony, but is quite keen on cutting up some rug in the Oval office.
“White House Down” is one of two new movies in the works that see muscle-bound hero types going up against terrorists who hold hostage the president and his people. The other is “White House Taken”, from Antoine Fuqua, which features Gerard Butler.
