Who replaces Bryan Singer on the Logan’s Run remake?

The long-proposed remake of “Logan’s Run” – which Bryan Singer was at one stage set to direct – is back on, with commercials director Carl Erik Rinsch (a protege of Ridley Scott’s) onboard to helm.

Rinsch, who will first complete the Keanu Reeves-Samurai actioner “47 Ronin”, pitched a take to producers Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Akiva Goldsman that was more in tune with the original William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson-written book (for instance, the lead will be much younger in the new film) than the Michael York-starring film, says Deadline.

“Logan’s Run” tells of a man who tries to outrun a mandatory death sentence before his 30th birthday. The York-starring film was directed by Michael Anderson, and released in 1976.
