Will Ferrell and Steve Carell to Swear to God

Will Ferrell and Steve Carell will team on “Swear to God”, a Warner Bros comedy from director Justin Theroux.

Deadline says the two-hander would kick off in July 2013, after Ferrell and Carell finish the “Anchorman” sequel.

Theroux (“Tropic Thunder”) will be rewriting a script by Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland that sees Ferrell playing “a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God”.

Gary Sanchez Productions, who are behind Ferrell’s latest “The Campaign”, are on this one.
