Former “That 70’s Show” star Laura Prepon will play talk-show host Chelsea Handler in a new NBC sitcom based on the younger years of the E! employee, according to Deadline.
Based on Handler’s autobiography “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea”, the multi-camera comedy will be written and executive produced by ”Dharma & Greg” co-creator Dottie Zicklin and Julie Larson and executive produced by Handler.
For those not in the know, Handler was originally a barmaid. The show will fix on the comedienne’s time spent behind the bar and her openness to talk about sex and her love for alcohol.
