Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”, “Mad Max Fury Road”) will play the title role in the feature film adaptation of the Kenneth Slawenski biography “JD Salinger: A Life”, says Variety.
Danny Strong (“Recount”) adapted for the biopic “Rebel in the Rye” for Black Label Media.
The film, which will be produced by Strong, Molly Smith, Trent Luckinbill, Thad Luckinbill, Bruce Cohen, and Jason Shuman, will tell of the “Catcher in the Rye” author’s life and mind, as well as his youth, time in the war, love, loss, writer’s block, rejection and spiritual awakening.
