Rodrigo Santoro (“300”) will play Jesus Christ in MGM and Paramount Pictures’ “Ben-Hur”, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Set for release February 26, 2016, “Ben-Hur” will star Toby Kebbell, Morgan Freeman, Olivia Cooke, Ayelet Zurer, Nazanin Boniadi and, in the title role, Jack Huston. Timur Bekmambetov directs.
Santoro’s upcoming credits include HBO’s “Westworld” series and “Jane Got a Gun” with Natalie Portman.
