York aboard Low Grounds trilogy

Newcomer Olivia Dawn York has been added to the cast of the fantasy epic “Low Grounds : The Portal”, the first of three new films that offer a modern-day twist on the ‘Orpheus’ story.

The film, written and directed by Simon B. Veredon, also features John Patrick Amedori, Billy Drago (“The Untouchables”) and John Shea (TVs “Mutant X”). It lenses shortly in Poland.

The ‘’Low Grounds’’ trilogy chronicles a young dropout’s quest to prevent his hometown’s annihilation. The story is set against a backdrop in which time is an illusion and the concrete world is only a diaphanous layer away from the Low Grounds

York recently wrapped writer/director Nathan Hope’s “Elsewhere” opposite Jon Gries (“Napoleon Dynamite”, TVs “Lost”), Anna Kendrick (“Twilight”), Paul Wesley, and Tania Raymonde (Alex from TVs “Lost”). That film premieres on DVD in June.
