Zemeckis : There won’t be a new Marty McFly, but there’ll probably be a new Jack T.Colton

While promoting “Flight” in the UK, director Robert Zemeckis responded to claims that many of his past hits, including “Back to the Future”, are undergoing the remake treatment.

The filmmaker tells Getty (via The Hollywood News) that the only film in his back-catalog that Hollywood’s looking to redo is his 1984 hit “Romancing the Stone” (in 2011 we reported on a possible remake).

”They are all internet BS except Romancing the Stone”, the “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” and “Cast Away” director told the pay-for-play image/video service. “Probably. I know there are plans for them to remake that but I don’t know if they are actually doing it or not yet. That has nothing to do with me. The rest… it’s all… I don’t even know what it is.”

The filmmakers behind the “Back to the Future” trilogy have claimed time and time again that there won’t be a reboot of the Michael J.Fox/Christopher Lloyd classic, nor will there be a fourth film in the series. Once again, we can wipe our brows.
