Young “True Detective” actress Madison Wolfe has nabbed the lead role in the film adaptation of Joe Kelly’s graphic novel “I Kill Giants”, landing the part following a nation wide casting call. Zoe Saldana has also been cast.
The film cenres on Barbara (Wolfe), a young misfit girl battling both real and imaginary monsters in her life.
Saldana plays the school psychologist Mrs. Mollé, who helps Barbara face both internal and external threats, forming an inspiring bond with her in the process.
Anders Walter will make his directorial debut on the project from a script by Joe Kelly, who wrote the award winning graphic novel with illustrator Ken Niimura.
Production will kick off early next year.
