A new teaser poster has been released for The Lonely Island’s new film, and with it comes the title reveal.
The film, to be released this year on June 3, is titled “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping”.
Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone (collectively known as The Lonely Island) star in the comedy which goes behind the scenes as singer/rapper Conner4Real (Samberg) faces a crisis of popularity after his sophomore album flops, leaving his fans, sycophants and rivals all wondering what to do when he’s no longer the dopest star of all.
Sarah Silverman, Tim Meadows and Maya Rudolph co-star in the film with a number of celebrity cameos.
Co-directed by Schaffer and Taccone and written by The Lonely Island trio, the film is produced by Judd Apatow, Rodney Rothman and Samberg, Schaffer and Taccone.
