Disney has officially announced the development of sequels to 2014’s “Maleficent” and the recently released “The Jungle Book”.
Angelina Jolie is set to return in the titular role for “Maleficent 2”. Linda Woolverton is writing the script.
“The Jungle Book 2” has both director Jon Favreau and writer Justin Marks returning for the follow up.
Meanwhile, THR is reporting Sony is moving forward with a “Goosebumps” sequel, with director Rob Letterman and writer Darren Lemke set to return.
Jack Black starred in the 2015 film, and the studio is looking to get him back on board for the sequel.
