Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, David Yates, David Heyman – Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

The long awaited, new installment to the “Harry Potter” franchise has “Potter” fans both excited and nervous about what to expect from the new chapter in J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world. Although there is no story on which this is based, just the textbook from which the film receives its title, J.K. Rowling did write the script a fact that I’m sure will relax some tense fans. Produced by David Heyman (“Harry Potter” Franchise) and directed by David Yates (Final Four “Harry Potter” films) and starring Eddie Redmayne (Newt), Katherine Waterson (Porpentina), Alison Sudol (Queenie), Dan Fogler (Jacob), Erza Miller (Credence), Colin Farrell (Graves), and Johnny Depp (Grindelwald) to name a few members of the “A-list” cast. The story itself takes us to the “Roaring 20’s” in New York City where a young Newt Scamander has gone to discover, track down and collect fantastic beasts for the magical animal sanctuary he has in his T.A.R.D.I.S. like briefcase. But chaos is unleashed when the case opens and some animals escape causing events that shake up New York and the world of wizards and forever change the lives of Jacob, Porpentina, her sister Queenie and a young, mysterious man named Credence.

I was invited to attend the international press junket and was able to get some great insight into the film. Sudol and Fogler talk about the imagination and heart of their work as well relationships with food and beasts. Yates and Heyman discuss working with a fantasy world and how current world issues affect the new wizarding world. Keep in mind these are interviews about the film, so listen with caution, there is bound to be a spoiler or two:
