Ahead of his change of pace in the upcoming Naked Gun reboot, Liam Neeson will star in a new thriller for Interview with the Vampire director Neil Jordan.
The Riker’s Ghost, written by Sean O’Keefe (Spenser Confidential), Brian Rudnick (Dungeons & Dragons), and Jordan is set to commence principal photography from September 2023.
The pic follows a convict set for release (Neeson) who is forced to break a terrorist out of prison, when his lawyer is kidnapped, as he is the only one who knows a way out.
“This is a unique take on the prison escape,” said Jordan. “A bare knuckle ride from incarceration to freedom, by someone who just wants to finish his term. The reluctant escapee will be played by Liam Neeson, and I can’t wait to explore this character with him.”
The leading Los Angeles based production and sales company Capstone is handling international sales and will introduce to buyers at the upcoming European Film Market. CAA Media Finance is handling US rights.
