At CinemaCon today, Universal hit a high note (but the low note came when the audience realized how long they’ll have to wait to see it) when they confirmed a sequel to their 2012 hit “Pitch Perfect”.
Kay Cannon will return as writer, with the film due in cinemas 2015.
That same year, Universal – who joked, following the success of “Pitch Perfect” and “Les Miserables”, that they now require all their actors to sing – will release “Snow White & The Huntsman 2” starring Kristen Stewart. It’s unlikely Stewart will be crooning in it.
No word on which “Pitch Perfect” cast members will be returning for the film but it’s a sure thing Universal will be hoping to re-attract Anna Kendrick, Skyler Austin, Anna Camp and scene-stealer Rebel Wilson.
