Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ Josh Friedman writing Cameron’s Avatar 2

In an ironic twist, James Cameron has hired “Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles” EP Josh Friedman to work on the “Avatar 2” screenplay, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Granted Cameron, who had no involvement with Fox’s small-screen “Terminator” series, likely didn’t hire Friedman so much because of his work on that as he did his screenplay work on “War of the Worlds” or Brian De Palma’s “the Black Dahlia”.

“Avatar 2”, said to be set largely underwater this time, and featuring much of the original cast, is due for release Christmas 2015.
