Katherine Waterston joins Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Katherine Waterston has joined Eddie Redmayne in Warner Bros’ “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”.

Waterston will play Tina, short for Porpentina, a witch who—unlike the “Harry Potter” characters—works her magic in the U.S. She meets magizoologist Newt Scamander (Redmayne) when he stops in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures.

David Yates is directing the film from a script by J.K. Rowling based on her own book.
