Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone musical La La Land to open during awards season

Starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, movie musical “La La Land” will get a limited release on December 2 before going wide on December 16, 2016.

Originally slated to release on July 15, “La La Land” will now hit cinemas right in the middle of awards season. It will open against “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and Will Smith’s “Collateral Beauty”.

Directed by “Whiplash” helmer Damien Chazelle, “La La Land” is said to be a throwback to musical movies of the past.
