Sony and Marvel have cast Zendaya in the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot.
According to Deadline, the actress-singer will play a key part in the film opposite Tom Holland, who’ll play Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Jon Watts is directing from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein which focuses on Peter Parker’s high school days.
Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige are producing.
The currently-untitled “Spider-Man” reboot will be released on July 7, 2017.
