23 Jump Street/Men in Black crossover is happening

It would seem Sony’s “23 Jump Street”/“Men in Black” crossover film is a go, with Variety reporting James Bobin is in early talks to helm the movie.

The project hasn’t received the greenlight just yet, but Variety says the studio is hoping to get production underway in June.

While “Jump Street” stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are on board to reprise their roles, “Men in Black” actors Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not return for the crossover as the studio is looking to relaunch the franchise with “younger, fresher faces”.

Rodney Rothman penned the script, though plot details remain under wraps.
