Lasse Hallstrom will direct Disney’s “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”.
The live-action movie is a big screen adaptation of the ballet by Peter Tchaikovsky and the accompanying story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King”, reports THR.
The classic story tells of a young girl named Clara who dreams that her new toy nutcracker soldier comes to life.
Ashleigh Powell wrote the script. Mark Gordon is producing with exec producer Lindy Goldstein.
