Bob Shaye’s the Mr Big behind the film version
Its enough that a “Sex and the City” movie is happening – why? what’s the point? where can it go? is there a big screen story in there? – I’m dumbfounded why New Line Cinema has decided to bankroll and distribute it.
The same troupe that gave us “The Lord of The Rings” series – and before that, the “Elm Street” series – is confident fans of the HBO series will pay to see the oversexed socialites at theatres.
Can’t say I am.
The “X-Files” movie I understand, there’s storyline possibilities galore there, but a “Sex and the City” movie? Not the best of ideas. A telemovie? maybe; movie? heh.
The film starts shooting in the Fall with the original cast.
