Abbey Lee (“Mad Max: Fury Road”, “Gods of Egypt”) is in talks to star in Stephen King adaptation “The Dark Tower”.
Should the deal come off, Lee will play Tirana who, despite only having a small role in the book, is said to be the film’s female lead.
Nikolaj Arcel will direct the film which co-stars Idris Elba as good guy gunslinger Roland Deschain (aka The Gunslinger) and Matthew McConaughey as the villain Randall Flag (aka Man in Black).
The film is planned as the first in a series of “Dark Tower” movies, and will be based on the first book in King’s series, “The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger”.
