Aeon Flux actor takes on Jimmy B

“Casino Royale” sequel adds another to its cast

Swiss actor Anatole Taubmann has been cast as henchman in the yet untitled 22nd James Bond film, says CommanderBond.net.

“James Bond – that’s like playing the Champions League. For a European actor, this is like a gold ticket. There’s nothing better. I’m very happy”, says the actor, adding that his role is rather physical demanding and therefore he’s already got a trainer helping him fatten up his muscle bits.

Taubmann, who appeared opposite Charlize Theron in the god-awful “Aeon Flux”, will no doubt be playing one of Mathieu Amalric’s sinister sidekicks.

The actor says he starts shooting his scenes in January and is looking forward to working with director Marc Forster. “We got along very well during the casting and we have a lot in common.”

(Just once I’d love to hear an actor say, “He was a bit of a prick at the casting session. And he didn’t even want to give me the role. Yet, I blackmailed him with some nudie pictures I have of him and a horse, and he agreed to let me play the role. We start filming in January!)
