Alice, Alice, who the F%^#k is Alice?

Mulcahy turns his attention from “Evil” to “Vampires”

After the success of “Resident Evil : Extinction”, Aussie director Russell Mulcahy – still think his best film is “Highlander” – is Hollywood’s golden-boy again (and to think a few short years ago he was directing shoddy Christopher Lambert movies and nobody would return his calls) and can have his pick of the toys on display.

Mulcahy has been snapped up to direct a vampire – you see, vampires and zombies aren’t that far removed; someone assumes they’re going to be able to repeat the success of “Resident Evil” you see? – movie called “Zen in the Art of Slaying Vampires,” says Variety.

Capitol Films’ David Bergstein will finance and sell the pic, which is based on a novel by Steven-Elliot Altman that’s the first in a three-book series.

The hero is turned into a vampire as he and his lover are attacked in lower Manhattan. She dies, and he struggles to overcome his murderous instincts and thirst for blood through Zen meditation. A struggle for his soul ensues between the bloodsuckers and the zen masters.

That actually sounds a bit like “Highlander” crossed with “Resident Evil”. Wonder if it’ll make as much as them combined or…?

Leatherface victim on a Star Trek?

It’s gonna take patience and time, to do it right now..
