Thankfully, both can still act their way out of a bag of Dorito’s and have been summoned to the set of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” for Season 2 arcs.
Reiser will play Dr. Owens, a member of the Department of Energy who has been sent to Hawkins on a ‘clean up’ assignment. Astin, better known these days for his “Lord of the Rings” work, is Bob Newby, a former nerd who went to high school with Winona Ryder and David Harbour’s character and now manages the Hawkins RadioShack.
The series returns to Netflix next year.
