David Michod (“Animal Kingdom”) is on board to direct “The Operators”.
Based on Michael Hastings’ best-seller of the same title, the film will centre on General Stanley McChrystal, the commanding general of international and US forces in Afghanistan, who is set to be played by Brad Pitt.
The film offers a behind-the-scenes portrait of our military commanders, their high-stakes maneuvers and the political firestorm that shook the United States.
Brad Pitt’s Plan B will produce with New Regency and RatPac Entertainment.
Michod recently directed Robert Pattinson in “The Rover”, which looks likely to premiere and Cannes next month, though no announcement has been made.
