Anna Faris set for Silly Movie

Comedy vet Anna Faris (“Scary Movie”, “The House Bunny”, “Take Me Home Tonight”) will star opposite Sacha Baron Cohen in director Larry Charles’ “The Dictator”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Paramount comedy is said to tell “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” Cohen will play the dual roles of the dictator and a goat herder.
Faris will play a New Yorker, the owner of a Whole-Foods style store.
Like “Borat”, the film will play out in mockumentary-style, enabling hired actors (one of whom is Ben Kingsley) the opportunity to improvise.
Production begins in New York and Spain in June.
