Sounds like Step Brothers 2 is inching forward!

Though I’m a bigger fan of “The Other Guys”, I still think Will Ferrell’s other recent-day two-hander “Step Brothers” is quite a goodie too. Is there enough in there for a sequel though? That, I don’t know. I guess that’s what Will, co-star John C.Reilly and director Adam McKay are now trying to figure out.
Speaking to Steve over at Collider, Ferrell said that a “Step Brothers 2” has a better chance of happening than the “Anchorman” sequel.
”We just had a great meeting with John C. Reilly about maybe another Step Brothers. Because Anchoman is a brick wall right now.”, Ferrell said, knocking Paramount’s decision to pass on a Ron Burgundy return.
”We would have to all three do it. Totally”, Ferrell says, in relation to Reilly and McKay’s involvement.
And on that “Anchorman” sequel, Ferrell tells our old friends at Cinema Blend that “Anchorman 2, you really have to assert some sort of email hate campaign to Paramount Pictures. They’ve told us, ‘We’ve run the numbers and it’s not a good fit,’
So that one’s a no-go, sadly.
